Counting down 4 days to Kickoff

The wait is finally over and the September 4th home opener against Louisiana-Lafayette is just around the corner. I’ve been talking to everyone in the Georgia Bulldogs organization who I can corner—live and on video! I asked Coach Richt if he was ready and he said he was ready to play last Saturday! Then he asked me if I was ready…and believe me I am!

Georgia’s Starting Center Ben Jones, who’s feeling good and is ready to play, after arthroscopic knee surgery last month. Ben talked to me about QB Aaron Murray, about the rest of guys on the offensive line and about how the 3/4 defense is helping the offense because you never know what’s coming. Ben said it helped them with their blitz pickup and running game.

Later this week on kelinjohnson.com my conversation with starting cornerback and return specialist Brandon Boykin. And I did a really special interview with a guy who’s faced some really tough decisions lately—my friend, retiring free safety Quintin Banks.

Getting very pumped up for the debut of Kelin Keepin’ It Real Radio this Saturday. We’ve got a great line up of former players and sports insiders who will be talking football with me throughout the season.

This Saturday I will be live at 10am along with James Carr and the rest of the WUOG student sports staff. We’ll be on 90.5 FM and streaming on kelinjohnson.com live from Tate Plaza. Come down to be part of the show.

At 11am, we will kickoff a special edition of Kelin Keepin’ it Real Radio with a live audience pre-game show 11-12 only for those at Tate Plaza. This show kicksoff on the air and on the internet the following Saturday (9/11/10) and every Saturday for the next 13 weeks on Voice America Sports, www.kelinjohnson.com and also on 880 AM in Athens.

The latest guy who’s planning to join me on the air, is Ronald Moses. He’s a recruiting analyst for UGAsports on the rivals.com network and also works as a Georgia scout for Elite Scouting Services. He is a graduate of Georgia Military College and is currently finishing his degree at the University of Georgia. Ronald is going to do a weekly update on Georgia commits and targets.
